Today’s Dental is proud to offer our own subscription-based coverage plan that may help families without insurance. The Smile Care membership plan provide affordable coverage for your dental care needs. Unlike many other insurance plans, there are even discounts available for cosmetic procedures.

Why can’t you send this to my insurance (DBI)?
We’re happy to file a claim with your insurance company. However, as a DBI (Direct Benefits Insurance) plan, your benefits are paid directly to you. We’ll provide you with all the necessary documentation to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Can you give me a discount?

Can we do a pre-authorization for that?

Do you really charge a $50 cancel fee?
Yes, we have a $50 cancellation fee for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice. This helps us compensate for the reserved time that could have been used for another patient.
I was sick - can’t you void the $50 cancel fee?

Can I use my HSA? Can I use my FSA?
Yes, you can use your HSA or FSA for most dental treatments. We’ll provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your provider.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, or Invisalign?
Generally, HSA and FSA funds can be used for procedures deemed medically necessary. While some cosmetic procedures might qualify, there are limitations. We recommend checking with your plan administrator to be sure.
When do I have to prepay for services to get on the schedule?
Each office has their own policy which may include deposits on certain procedures.
Do you give a discount if I prepay?

What if my insurance doesn‘t cover what you say it’s going to cover?

Since I have two insurances, I shouldn’t have to pay for anything, right?
Having two insurances can be beneficial, but it doesn’t always mean everything is fully covered. We’ll coordinate with both providers to maximize your benefits, but there might be some out-of-pocket expenses depending on your plans.
Why are you not in network with my Blue Cross Blue Shield or Medicaid or MetLife?
We are constantly evaluating our network participation. While we aren’t in-network with those providers currently, we offer competitive fees and flexible payment options for our patients.
