What Is Invisalign?
Using a series of clear straightening trays, Invisalign gradually and gently repositions teeth that are crowded, spaced, or misaligned. Today, Invisalign treats every case type that braces treats
To start your treatment, our Omaha dentists will work with you to decide on the final product of your Invisalign treatment – your dream smile. We’ll then take impressions of your teeth and send them to a lab, where they will create the aligner trays. Each set of trays will work to move your teeth closer and closer to their final positions.
Benefits of Invisalign
Compared to traditional metal braces, Invisalign offers a number of benefits.
- Comfortable trays don’t cut or irritate cheeks or gums
- Removable trays let you eat your favorite foods, drink your favorite beverages, and brush and floss teeth like normal
- Clear trays for virtually invisible braces
- Fewer check-in appointments at our office
- Average treatment time of about one year (we will discuss your specific expected treatment time during your consultation)
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Like most orthodontic options, Invisalign can be a bit pricey, but our team at Today’s Dental will work with you to determine the best way to help you afford the cost. Our office is insurance friendly, and we’ll work with your insurance company to determine your benefits and ensure your claim is processed.
We also accept payments through third-party financing companies CareCredit. CareCredit works like a credit card for all of your healthcare-related expenses, and they offer extended and zero-interest plans.
*Typical Invisalign cases can be financed using LendingPoint, Care Credit, or our in-house payment options for $199 per month for 24 months.
How much does Invisalign® full cost?
Today’s Dental makes Invisalign® treatment affordable with flexible payment and financing options. We accept insurance—and typically an insurance policy that covers traditional braces also covers Invisalign® to the same extent. Today’s Dental also accepts tax-free dollars using an FSA or HSA.
Invisalign® vs Braces
Invisalign® aligners are a removable and virtually invisible alternative to braces. The aligners are much more comfortable than wire braces and people may not even notice you’re wearing them. You can remove them to enjoy your favorite foods such as biting into an apple, gum, or popcorn, and continue to brush and floss as normal.
How long does Invisalign® full take?
Invisalign® treatment can be completed in as little as six months, however, average treatment lengths vary from 12 to 18 months, typically about the same treatment time as conventional braces. Your personal treatment may vary depending on your needs and will be determined by your dentist.
How often must I wear the Invisalign® aligners?
Invisalign® aligners should be worn day and night, except when eating, brushing, and flossing. We recommend the aligners be worn 20 – 22 hours per day.
Does Invisalign® treatment hurt?
During the first day that you use each set of Invisalign® aligners, you may feel some discomfort. Don’t worry, that’s normal. That’s because the aligner is gently moving your teeth. In most cases, the discomfort passes within the first day.
